Super 8 Story City

I booked a room for work, then cancelled three days before the cancellation deadline because of a snowstorm. The hotel charged me twice. When I called, they refunded one charge and said the other had gone through the booking company. I explained my card statement showed both charges from the hotel, but they refused the second refund. The booking company also said the same and tried to resolve it with them, but the hotel refused again. I’m disputing it through my credit card company now. They’ve wasted a lot of my time, and I wouldn’t recommend staying here.

The front desk guy was really friendly, and my room was clean. There’s also a good location for walking out to get food if needed.

The staff I spoke with were very nice, the lobby looked good, and the location was wonderful. I was told on arrival that my booked regular king room wasn’t available, so they gave me a free upgrade to a king suite. That was kind of them, though if this was the upgrade, I hate to think what the regular room looked like. The suite felt damp and smelled that way throughout, with cobwebs everywhere. The bathroom door took all my strength to close, and there was only a flat sheet on the mattress, which wouldn’t stay tucked underneath me. I wouldn’t stay at this location again.

Friendly service, a comfy bed, and great AC. There’s parking for semi trucks across the street at mcdonalds. Groceries, restaurants, liquor, and more are all within walking distance.
