Super 8 Stafford/Springfield Area

We thought our trip was doomed after Extended Stay America hotel in Springfield off Kingsley messed up our booking and we ended up sleeping in the car after a 9-hour drive. This place came through with a budget-friendly early check-in. For a last-minute room at that price, we’d have been okay with a no-tell motel, but this was the cleanest inexpensive hotel I’ve stayed at in a while. The decor was a nice change from the usual ugly corporate look, too. It made such a huge difference to our trip. We’ll stay here whenever we visit family now.

Back in April 2023, we had a nice stay here. On 10/27/2025, though, the bathroom floor and area around the toilet had mold, the sitting bench was ripped, and there was also an order. After driving 12 straight hours, I was exhausted, and then my key cards wouldn’t work. The front desk attendant was condescending, and the key wouldn’t open the back door, so I had to walk around several times. I was very displeased with everything and feel I should be reimbursed the $120.00 I sent.

We were caught in a really bad storm and needed to stop, but as soon as we arrived I felt unsafe. There was a man outside, which we thought nothing of at first. Once we got inside, more men were being let in through the locked back door and the front, and the four of us, me, my baby, my mom, and my dog, were surrounded in a narrow hallway with no way out on all sides by 7-9 men. I felt so afraid it made me sick. We pushed past them and fled, even though we’d paid. We had to drive off before we could even buckle the baby in all the way. I think having my big dog with me was the only thing that kept us safe. The place was disgusting, too. If you’re a woman alone or with children, absolutely don’t stay here. You are not safe. The room was clean and comfortable, and management was really good. I showed up a little earlier than expected, and they were able to accommodate me. They also let me borrow a phone charger.
