1786 The Limestone Inn Bed & Breakfast

I really enjoyed staying at 1786 The Limestone Inn. Rick and Denise were lovely hosts, checked in to see if I needed anything, and knew a lot about the area. I especially liked chatting with them over breakfast. I’d gladly stay there again if I’m nearby.

The grounds are so peaceful, with lovely landscaping and quiet little spots to sit with coffee and a book. Inside, everything feels warm and carefully put together, and our cozy room had a wonderfully comfortable bed. The soaker tub was a treat, and the Krapper toilet was a fun detail. Breakfast was the best meal of our trip, even after eating at both of the area’s famous smorgasbords. The homemade food was fresh, tasty, and nicely presented. They even welcomed our niece and her boyfriend to breakfast though they weren’t staying at the inn, which says a lot about the innkeepers’ kindness. The Limestone Inn was exactly what we wanted and then some. The innkeepers clearly care about what they do, and we left feeling rested and looked after. We’ll be back, and would recommend it to anyone in Strasburg looking for more than just a bed for the night.

The hosts at the 1786 Limestone Inn are incredibly gracious, and they think of so many little things that make you feel at home throughout your stay. Breakfast is a special treat each morning since they’re gourmet cooks. In the evenings, there’s pie, snacks, and drinks in one of three common rooms where you can relax and meet other guests. If you like historic inns that are immaculate and beautifully decorated, this Strasburg, Pennsylvania place is for you. I plan to return, like many of the other guests. It’s truly a blessing. Rick and Denise made us feel very welcome and shared helpful insight into the area and its culture. The Sandstone Inn was charming and well placed for the things we wanted to do, including Sights and Sound and the Amish markets. We had a wonderful visit.
