We didn't feel safe in the room, and honestly it seemed cleaner and safer to sleep in our vehicle. The lock kept beeping at random and the door would unlock. Someone had stuffed a tissue into the peephole, and an exterior door that should have needed a key card was unlocked, with electrical tape holding it together. The bathroom was filthy, the carpets sticky, and there was hair on the sheets, walls, floors, and shower curtain. Being so close to a major highway made the safety concerns worse. It was a restless night, with serious trafficking vibes, if you know what I mean. The only staff member we saw was a nice woman at the front desk. We didn't see housekeeping or maintenance anywhere during our stay, which may explain the room and the locks. I contacted Choice Hotels with my concerns and got only canned apologies, no real concern and no offer of a refund or discount. Don't risk your safety or waste your money here, especially if you're alone or have kids.

The rooms were a bit dated, but it was a modest place to sleep. What made it nice was the staff. The front desk moved us to a quieter room down the hall after there was noise all night next door. I didn't complain since people are on vacation and having fun, but they took care of it anyway. The three housekeepers were the sweetest, brought me extra towels, and shared a smile. That kind of kindness makes a place.

We arrived to a strong damp, stale smell, and the rooms looked like they hadn't been updated since the 80s. I wish we'd spent more for somewhere cleaner and better managed. I called four times to get the wedding reservation sorted out and still wasn't confident it was booked. I asked for a suite, but got one queen bed and a tiny pullout couch for the other adults. When I called about the room not being a separate suite like at other hotels, the man said his brother owned a hotel six miles away and suggested I reserve another room there. I'd give it zero stars if Google Review let me.

Omar at the bar made my stay. I never thought I'd have that much fun at a hotel bar, but I did. Whatever he's bringing, let him keep it up! You get what you pay for here: the rooms were clean and large, though the beds weren't very comfortable. The pool shut at 9, so we missed swimming. Wish it had stayed open until 11.
