Quality Inn Downtown Stuart

Debbie at the front desk greets people with a wonderful smile and real kindness, and Melissa and the rest of the housekeeping team work together so smoothly. They checked in several times a day to see if we needed anything, and went above and beyond. We adore them. Our Bull Doggo’s were made to feel like royalty, too. Every person on the team helped make this such a memorable stay. This Stuart, Fl property has the kind of cozy, personal hospitality that gets lost in big resorts. It’s a rare gem from Florida’s 80’s era, and I wouldn’t change a thing. After days enjoying beaches, boating, MLB Spring training, quaint shops, and eateries for every palette, it was lovely to return to a clean, comfortable, homey place in the heart of everything Florida. I travel often and have worked in Hospitality for a long time, including at South Seas Resorts and United Airlines. I know how much dedicated employees matter, and the whole workforce here is superior. I’ll save the Ritz and Hyatt for my International stays, but Stuart is my favorite Florida spot, and I won’t stay anywhere else when I visit. 100 Gold Stars! The owner and staff were very sweet. They even offered us fresh bagels before putting them out so they wouldn’t get hard. Breakfast was simple but filling, with waffles, toast, yogurt, cereal, coffee, and juice. The key card also gets you 10% off at Flanagan's next door, which is handy for drinks without driving. The price was right, and I like the location, but the place needs serious updating. Our first floor room felt stuffy with the door shut and had no airflow. There was no bathroom exhaust fan, the sliders were nailed shut, and the comforter had stains and should’ve been replaced. I’d stay again.

The staff were really nice, and our room was clean with no smell. The breakfast items were good, too. They had waffles, juice, muffins, and breakfast bars, but no eggs. We were only there one night because of a flight. The room didn’t look like the pictures, the bed was hard, and the hotel needs upgrades. Some areas seemed moldy. For a night or two at that price, it’ll do.

Room 223 had no hot water, and its blinds were torn. Management said nobody had complained about the water. My coworker in Room 222 found baby roaches on her pillows. I wondered whether these were the rooms they give you when you’re black.
