Uptown Suites of Stuart

About 35 years ago I lived in one of the second-story apartments, back when Ann boze owned the building. She was a sweetheart, and I'm glad to see the place is still in use. In response to the owner at the top of the stairs asking about my comment, I can't remember the unit number. Coming into the building, you'd climb the stairs and turn away from Ann Boze's apartment, then go straight down the hall to the end. A family apartment was to the left, but mine was the corner apartment at the end, with views of the courthouse and the ally, and the mail building nearby. I'd love a chance to see the building and reminisce about old memories.

The hosts thought of everything for a nice little getaway, and welcomed us so warmly. The renovations preserve the original feel while adding the modern look and comfort you'd expect in an upscale hotel. The town is friendly and quiet. If you want to slip away and unwind, come here. Thanks for the wonderful hospitality!

There wasn't a room available, so we didn't end up staying, but Leslie was very helpful. She suggested where we could go and gave us maps and brochures for the blue ridge parkway, which we planned to drive the next day. It was beautiful. Thanks for the brief hospitality, Leslie. We'll remember you next time we're traveling through.

So glad I got to stay at the Uptown Suites. It's in the middle of everything in Stuart, and the historic building captures the feel of this quaint little mountain town. The room itself was the real treat: charming, beautifully decorated, comfortable, and super cozy.
