We spent a few days here and hated to leave. Sturgis has a great atmosphere, and the hotel is spotless, with a distinctive feel and lovely loft-style decor. Our room had a mezzanine and a huge window, and the bathroom was charming and clean. There’s a cafe downstairs that stays open late. The blackout blinds were great for sleeping. A bit more storage would help, but it’s a small drawback.

The people were friendly, and the place was clean, but at $200 after taxes and fees it didn’t feel worth it. If you’re staying downtown, it’s okay. Just get there before 9 p.m., because the desk and coffee shop close and then there’s no vending, bottled water, or anything else. At 6:30, the only coffee was what had been left from the day before. My room was humid, and the AC and heat were odd in the loft. Holiday Inn Express would’ve been a better choice.

Such a cozy, homey place, and the cleanest hotel I’ve ever stayed in. Even the showerhead was spotless. The staff were super friendly and the coffee was fantastic. I’d definitely stay again. 10/10, would recommend.

I liked the cute boutique feel and the location, and the welcome was warm with an easy check-in. The rooms are beautiful, a modern spin on an older building, and very clean. Mine had a desk, fridge, and microwave, and dogs are accepted for a small fee. Still, I’m not sure I would have chosen this place if I’d known what to expect. Noise carries straight through the walls. We could hear every word from the room next door, despite other reviews saying it was quiet. Booking was also unclear: I called and was told only two rooms remained, but not which room I’d get or what it would cost. In winter, the shower was only warm, with a fluctuating temperature that never got hot.

The coffee was especially good, and getting checked in at the coffee shop counter was easy and friendly. They even let us look at a room before deciding to stay. The old building has been converted really well, with a loft layout we loved. One of our rooms had windows and the other didn’t. Both were quiet, clean, and well furnished. Having a heater in the bathroom was fabulous.
