Budget Host Inn and Suites

There are food spots nearby, including McDonald’s, Subway, and a few other inexpensive places. Kroger’s and two major banks are only half a mile away, and the rooms are clean. I do wish they had a laundry room instead of just an outside washer and dryer.

Terrible experience. We paid online, and nothing said anything about check-in time, but the host still wouldn’t let us into a room. I don’t recommend it.

The WiFi can be unreliable depending on where your room is, though I don’t think that should spoil the stay. If the connection is a problem, the staff will try to accommodate a room change as best they can. My husband and I have been living out of hotels for the last year after falling on hard times. It’s been an unfortunate situation, and a room alone costs an incredible $2k-$3k a month. Even so, each time we’re at Budget Host, which is most days or every day of the month, it’s a pleasant experience. It’s family owned, and whoever’s behind the desk is part of the family. I’ve never had rude behavior from the staff. They’ve always tried to meet guests’ needs and wants within reason and their limits. The owner puts out free breakfast every day from 6am-9am. THE FREE BREAKFAST ROCKS!! Shipley Donuts are included if you get there before they’re gone. The rooms are clean, the beds comfortable, the a/c cold, and the staff go above and beyond. The price is always reasonable. I 100% recommend Budget Host to anyone who gets to stay here.

My stay in Room 207 was frustrating. WiFi kept dropping out, so it was nearly impossible to use, and when I raised it, the staff acted like they hadn’t heard of the problem and didn’t seem interested in fixing it. The toilet paper holder was broken and management didn’t bother to repair it. Between the poor service and lack of basic upkeep, I was very disappointed.
