Hampton Inn & Suites Suisun City Waterfront

Since starting my project at Travis AFB, I’ve been staying here, and the place has come to feel like home away from home. The whole team, from the owner and front desk to maintenance and housekeeping, has treated me like family. Morning or evening, there’s always a genuinely warm welcome. I’m grateful for the steady care, comfort, and hospitality from the Hilton family.

Justice and Luke were so helpful and welcoming. They tracked down the things we’d left by the pool during our stay, and thanks to them we got everything back.

I liked having a pet-friendly room on the first floor near an exit after mentioning my dog. The room was comfortable with a great bed, though the lighting could be better. There was no freezer in the mini-fridge, so I couldn’t refreeze my ice packs. What made me feel unsafe was a drug dealer operating behind the hotel, about 50 yards from my exit. At 3:30 a.m., taking my dog out, I could see drug deals happening.

We were worn out after riding over 250 miles through San Joaquin Valley heat, with roadwork slowing us on westbound Route 12. After coming from Mammoth Lakes, it took us about half an hour to hydrate and catch our breath before checking in. Miss May made check-in easy and professional, and kept us laughing. She even got my riding buddy “Handsome” Tom to laugh, which says a lot after that ride. We wanted to park the motorcycles where we could watch them. Miss May quickly offered a spot in camera view and gave us a room overlooking the bikes, which helped us feel secure about leaving them overnight. The room was clean and cool, just what we needed after the heat. Breakfast the next morning had waffles, and the attendant was charming and laughed along with my rusty Spanglish. Apparently my Santa Ana accent is still going strong! It’s a solid hotel breakfast, the sort military vets will nod at, and useful for saving money on per diem. There are good places to eat within walking distance, too. For road travelers on two wheels or four, this Hampton Inn met or exceeded what we expected.
