The Oaks Bed and Breakfast

A last-minute trip turned into a stay that went way beyond what we expected. The room was beautiful and breakfast was amazing. I’m so glad I booked this place. Ten out of ten, and I can’t say enough good things about the experience!

We got married at the Hopkin County Courthouse and held our reception at The Oaks. Since Sulphur Springs was halfway between our families, we chose the town without having seen The Oaks in person until the wedding day. I coordinated everything with Allison over email and phone. We wanted a relaxed, family-style reception that celebrated what makes our newly blended family unique, including breakfast for dinner and board games. Allison helped bring it all together just as we’d pictured. My six-person bridal party got ready in the spacious Sycamore Suite. We had our family “first look” there, then spent our wedding night in the suite. Breakfast on the balcony was a particular treat. We highly recommend it and plan to return for an anniversary.

The Sycamore Suite and its adjoining balcony were so comfortable, and the room was beautifully decorated. Breakfast was delicious every time, with fresh ingredients. The place is near downtown Sulphur Springs Tx, where there’s an impressive Veterans Memorial and a lovely town square full of restaurants and shops. An absolute gem.

We had the magnolia room, which was clean, comfortable, and very nice, and the breakfast was really good. Family-style bed and breakfasts are such a pleasure. We’ve enjoyed them across the country for years, so it’s exciting to find that they still exist.
