We’ve had a booking service reroute us before and call it a direct booking, so we only book with the motel itself. When we tried to reserve a room at an independent motel in Sultan, our call went to an agent in Olympia who was hard to understand. Dutch Cup, you lost our business. Answer your own damn phone.

It’s handy being centrally located, and the room was spotless, well stocked, and had a comfortable bed and full bath. The downside was the train passing close by late at night and early in the morning. They do provide earplugs.

The only thing keeping this from five stars is how far it is from stevens pass. If it were thirty minutes closer, five stars all day. The room was clean and well maintained, and the building and parking lot were presentable. For this price, it’s a really nice motel. Places in this range can be flea bags, but this one clearly doesn’t cater to druggies. I haven’t stayed in such a nice motel in many years.

My back and neck are bad, and the beds and pillows felt pretty stiff. That’s my own issue, though. It’s a cute little place in a great spot, and I’d gladly stay again. I’ll bring my own pillow next time.

They’ve raised their prices, and my dog came away from the room with fleas. She had a bad allergic reaction to the bites and needed a $300 vet visit. I believe they came from there because she went only between that place and home, and we definitely don’t have fleas at home.
