We tried to check in for a short stay, but the nightly price was $20 above what was posted. The sign said cards were accepted, yet the clerk told us it was cash only. When we agreed to pay cash, he then wanted another $25 for a non-smoking room.

After driving more than seven hours for my grandmother’s funeral, I arrived at 2:30 in the morning to a dump. There was no heat, there were bugs, and the door wouldn’t lock. I asked for my money back about half an hour after arriving. Nobody should stay here. There should be a way to give it zero stars.

I only used the room to shower and sleep, and left no mess. When I checked out to get my deposit back, the clerk said the $25 cash charge was nonrefundable and was really the usual room cleaning fee. The receipt listed everything except that cleaning charge. Earlier, after I booked online, they asked for a $25 incidental deposit. I agreed to pay by card, but was told it had to be cash. He also kept asking when I’d leave the next morning, even though I planned to be out before checkout. I went for coffee at 7 AM and came back to find them already stripping the room to clean it. I asked for a receipt for the cash charge, too, but never got one.

The staff were really friendly, and both the room and parking area were very clean. I had no problems during my stay and plan to come back.
