Best Western Silicon Valley Inn

We found the price really affordable and would come back if we were in the area again. There are a few places to eat within walking distance, too. We stayed two nights for a 49ers game, about 10 minutes from Levi's stadium. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Check-in and checkout were easy, and the front desk was friendly. The busy street does get noisy from daytime into the night, though it wasn’t a deal breaker for us. It could be for someone else.

The breakfast setup was awkward: not many choices, and the food didn’t seem very fresh. Everyone had to use one coffee machine that made a single 8-12 ounce cup at a time, with a program choice for each drink, so it held people up. There wasn’t much room to sit, either, and the tables were right by reception. The biggest problem in my room was the shower. Its floor was so slippery I nearly fell, and I had to grip the bar to stay upright. There was no rubber mat. The water pressure hurt my skin, and adjusting the temperature was difficult because the water was very hot. I also saw several ants in the stall. The lower floor felt a bit like a basement and smelled musty, though the room was reasonably clean otherwise. On the plus side, the location is very good and the room was quiet and comfortable. The layout was nice, and the bed was fantastic. I slept perfectly. For the price, it was okay, but I’d call it a three-star hotel.

The staff were kind and willing to help. When our rental car broke down, the front desk guy called roadside assistance for us and even jump-started the car after they hadn’t shown up for a few hours. The location also made it easy to get around Silicon Valley. Breakfast was good, and our room was clean.

I liked it enough to come back a couple of weeks later for another business trip. The service was great, and the place was clean and nice. There’s free Wi-Fi, a good selection of TV channels in the rooms, and it’s convenient for a lot of local companies.
