The marsh views were wonderful, and my king bed was one of the most comfortable I've slept in. I had a little sitting room for TV, though I preferred looking out at the scenery. The jetted soaking tub is worth trying, and the top-floor end unit's wraparound balcony was great for the views without footsteps overhead. Just expect a couple flights of stairs. I did yoga on the porch at 7 am with seabirds around, and the parking was super easy. The room was spotless, check-in was as simple as going to the room, and check-out meant just walking out. The breakfast room was calm and inviting, but the options were disappointing for a place of this caliber: packaged bagels, oatmeal, granola bars, cereal, peanut butter, coffee, and tea. The beach was very close. I also thought the extra credit card fee was tacky. They said they get charged to process cards, but that cost could be included in the room price instead. It wasn't a huge deal, though it did bring the experience down a notch. Still, I had a very pleasant stay.

I was in town for work and only stayed one night, though I wish it had been longer. The room was the cleanest and tidiest I've stayed in, charming too, with an unbeatable marsh view. Communication felt friendly and personal, and check-in couldn't have been easier. I skipped breakfast, but the stay felt like a mini vacation. I'll come back when I can have a real one.

Every room has a marsh view, and the beach is a short distance away. This little hotel is a gem in Sunset Beach, with its own character in each room and really nice sheets and towels. The staff made things feel personal while keeping the service low key. We'll be back.

We came to check on the renovation of our home on the island, and this was our first stay at the Sunset Inn. The room was clean, comfortable, nicely decorated, and well maintained. The staff welcomed us warmly. I'd definitely recommend it.

The screened porch's rocking chairs gave us a lovely spot to watch the sunset over the marsh. My husband and I were there for two nights to celebrate our 35th wedding anniversary, and we were glad we chose the sunset inn at Sunset Beach. The rooms were very clean, the bathroom spotless, and the king bed had amazingly comfortable sheets. There was both a dehumidifier and an air purifier in the room. We enjoyed the continental breakfast each morning, taking the tray back to eat in our room. The coffee was delicious too.
