Sandpebble Beach Club

The hot tub has been broken for two years, and a storage door was damaged when we arrived. It was still that way when we left last week. The property was bought by Surfside Reality, and the upkeep needs to improve. We stayed here twice in two years, and both times the air conditioning quit on the first day. On this stay, the bedroom closet came off its track, the coffee table was falling apart, and the bathroom towel rack was missing and under the sink. There’s also a mark above the toilet that’s been there for two years, rusty, dusty vents in every room, and one bathroom light with a mismatched bulb. I work hard for my money, and spending it here felt like a joke. I won’t be back.

I’m glad we had somewhere to stay, and the kids had fun, but for what we paid I could’ve found a cheaper place. The rooms were nice, the beds comfortable, and I loved the views. But the dishes were dirty and there was hair all over the floor. One bathtub wouldn’t drain, so four of us had to share the other bathroom for showers. The listing shows a pool, but there isn’t one. The hot tub was taped off, out of order, and looked like work on it had been abandoned. The grills were gross, too. The beach rinse shower was broken, so we used a hose left lying around. I should’ve read more reviews, and I’d tell others to stay somewhere else.

We had a great stay and would recommend the place. A few things could use attention: the medicine cabinets are rusty, the front door security latch was broken, and the parking lot needs better lighting. Some ads mention a pool, but there isn’t one, so those should be corrected.

The ocean view was amazing, and the area was very quiet. Our two-bedroom, two-bathroom room was in great shape, with comfortable beds and plenty of parking. The thick curtains also made it dark enough for my wife to sleep. I’d been unsure about the elevator after hearing mixed information, but there is one and it worked well. The AC was cold and quiet. I was also concerned that no one would be at the front desk, but the local number was answered by helpful, friendly staff who handle several locations. We’d highly recommend Sandpebble Beach Club.
