Surfside Beach Oceanfront Hotel

We had such a good time that we booked another day at the end of our trip to get more beach time. The room wasn’t huge, but it was just the right size for us, clean, and comfortable. The staff were lovely when we checked in at 9:45 Wednesday night. They mentioned the pool stayed open until 11, which made my son’s night. He swam until closing, and the pool was extremely clean. When staff saw we were using our room towels, they brought pool towels right to us. We felt well looked after. The next morning we walked to the pier and breakfast. Highly recommend staying here.

The staff made the stay. We checked in on 31 Dec with Christy, possibly Christine, who was really friendly, got us checked in quickly, explained the hotel, and suggested places to eat and hang out for NYE. The rooms were clean and a good size, the beds were comfortable, and the AC worked well. We had a balcony room with a sunset view, which was lovely and much nicer than a room without one. The hot tub was HOT. The pillows were fine, though the sheets were loud. The hotel towels were the good kind, and the taffy was good too. The location worked well for food, bars, and the beach, with easy beach access. Staff knew the area. Nearby spots: Bubba's Seafood was four stars for fresh or fried seafood; Neal and Pam's Bar and Grill was five stars, with drinks and chicken and waffles for breakfast worth a try; Scotty's Bar was a four-star bar. I went during the off season for more privacy and less traffic, and it was a wonderful experience. The rooms were nice and clean, and everything I needed was right there. I’ll be back to the same hotel this year, after Labor Day.

We’ve stayed here several times, and every visit has been just as good. My family and I love the place. There are lots of restaurants nearby and a pier right beside the hotel, so you can check in, park, and walk everywhere. The front desk always greets me with a smile. This place is awesome.
