We came for a couple of nights to get away and taste wine, and the room was ready when we arrived, with towels still warm. It was a basic room with two beds and a bathroom. The TV had plenty of channels, the hot water was great, and both the AC and heater worked well. The smell was the main problem. We got used to it fairly quickly, but it was still very noticeable whenever we entered. The beds were quite lopsided, like they hadn't been turned often, and the pillows were much too soft. We like old motels and supporting local businesses, but that odor kept this from earning a higher score. If you want a room near wineries and beautiful north country, give M22 a try.

The rooms are large, clean, and in a great location, with nice walking areas for dogs. But there wasn't enough hot water for showers, and the toilet needs repair. The heating unit didn't work either, though the owner brought us a portable heater.

The room looked badly neglected, from the old mattresses and wall paint to cobwebs, bugs, and unexplained stains across the floor and walls. It didn't seem cleaned or prepared for guests at all. On top of that, we were hit by an overwhelming musty smell when we arrived. I expected only the bare minimum and was still disappointed. If zero stars were an option, that's what I'd give.

I loved how peaceful and relaxing the inn felt, even though it's well placed for exploring the area. The bay views were stunning, and my room was spotless, cozy, and thoughtfully decorated. The owner welcomed me warmly and made me feel at home as soon as I arrived. I'll definitely return to M22 Inn in Suttons Bay.

It isn't a Hilton and it's not modern, but it felt clean and safe, the bed was comfortable, and the rooms were clean. We booked on a whim and it worked out perfectly. The owner was incredibly kind, and the location was good, close to wineries and a downtown area for dinner. I'd absolutely stay here again when we're in the area.
