The front desk staff were friendly and efficient, and my room was clean and a good size. I also liked having ice machines on every floor. But the satellite TV had already been down since the day before I checked in. If I'd known, I would have stayed somewhere else. I had to watch the football game on my phone, and the TVs are too small for today's hotels anyway. They need an upgrade and more channels when the service works. The lamp outlets didn't work, I could hear people running upstairs, and there was no microwave in the room, so I couldn't heat my dinner. As a Bonvoy member, I expected some discount for having no TV. Getting onto the free internet should also be easier without being a Bonvoy member. I probably wouldn't stay here again.

The location is excellent and the staff are very nice, but the building has a lot of issues. My small room felt warm and extremely damp when I checked in, almost like a rainforest. I spent the first night sweaty, then turned the AC down and froze under the thin comforter. Metal things around the room, including the hanger rods and lamp, were rusty. I left the AC at 65 and running all day for two or three days before the humidity felt normal. The room smelled a little moldy. I brought a blanket in from the car to stay warm at night. I suspect the indoor pool and rooms right above it may have something to do with the dampness. An exhaust fan might help. The hotel seems old, with stained hallway carpets. The bathroom was usable and the shower was great, but the sink was tiny. The toilet was six inches from the wall, with the toilet paper where your leg goes, so I had to move it to sit down. I got fewer towels and washcloths than usual. The bed was fine apart from the thin comforter and cheesy pillows. Internet was OK. Breakfast was skimpy and inconsistent, bagels one day and none the next, plus the usual bagged eggs. The bananas were green or missing. I'd have been happy with a bagel and banana, but ended up thinking about Wendy's down the street. It wasn't completely horrible, but the dampness is a real problem and I won't stay again.

After a long day of travel and basketball games, we got to the room and my son put his luggage on the bed. A spider ran out from under the pillow. I went straight to the desk and asked for another room. They gave us one two doors down, but after unpacking there, we found another bug inside my son's pillowcase. We packed up again, requested a refund, and spent the night at another hotel. I wouldn't recommend this place.

We stayed for six days while my partner was visiting me. He stayed on nights before my days off, so I often slept at home when I had work the next day. The morning and cleaning staff were polite, and the kitchen staff were too. The first night desk man was kind of rude; someone different was there the other three days. The room did get cleaned and towels replaced, but only once. That's fine for two people, though it would be bad for a large family. We had to switch rooms because the TV in our first room didn't work at all, and they already knew its cable box was broken. The TVs are old and tiny, which is okay, but if you connect an Xbox, PC, or other HDMI device using your own cables, you can't control it with the remote or the buttons on the TV. They also leave every TV on day and night. At first we thought someone was in the room next to us because it was so loud, and I felt bad for the people right beside it. The first day, our key wouldn't let us in. They fixed it when we went down, but it shouldn't have happened. Even after that, the key reader took forever to unlock the door, and we couldn't lock the doors. There are microwaves only in the most expensive rooms, for no reason. The mini fridge in our larger room was tiny, though a different room had a normal one. The lamps were rusty, the room smelled odd, the bed was hard, and the pillows felt flat. The bathroom sink was small and the soap was iffy. The shower looked cheaply installed, the bottles looked striped and rusty, and the door wasn't fitted right. The pictures made the shower look much bigger than it was. It wasn't big enough for two, which was why my partner booked this place. The elevator was frightening, like being on the Tower of Terror. We told the front desk, and the night manager said it needed oil and they'd called a repair person, but nobody ever came. The elevator had an expired inspection tag, almost three months out of date. They clearly knew there was a problem, since they offered us a first floor room when we arrived. The third floor ice maker didn't work either. There was no fruit the whole week except apples on the first morning I stayed. Breakfast was hit or miss: bland eggs, nasty patties and sausage links, but the bacon and waffles we made ourselves were good. The pool pumps weren't running the whole time, so it smelled strongly of chlorine. The hotel was very outdated, with stained carpets on every floor. Only the front looked even remotely new. We didn't see signs of other guests during our stay, while the Hotel 6, the motel next door, and the Martioer closer to the street seemed to have people around. It felt creepy the whole time.

The customer service was great, and I really liked the location. It's close to lots of places to eat and shop. I had an amazing stay and will definitely come back. Thanks for everything.
