Applebutter Inn

I had a blast during my visit and would happily recommend this place. It’s on a peaceful road, and the owners made us feel welcome right away, with homemade baked goods plus coffee and tea waiting when we arrived. Everything was cozy and very clean, and breakfast was delicious: Belgian waffles, fresh fruit, and bacon. One funny thing, there wasn’t any apple butter at the Apple Butter inn. Maybe a little with crackers could be a cute idea. Just a thought.

The inn sits in a quiet spot between Quechee and Woodstock, with a photogenic covered bridge just across the street that was an easy walk away. We enjoyed sitting in the lovely garden. Our room was a good size, the king bed was quite comfortable, and having a private entrance was handy. The hosts were so kind and accommodating, breakfast was yummy, and the other guests made for pleasant conversation. In the afternoon, there were delicious treats and fresh lemonade.

Don and Jill added so many personal touches and gave us helpful recommendations for the area, and we're grateful for that. The atmosphere was friendly and the accommodations were wonderful. Breakfasts came beautifully presented and tasted excellent. We had a wonderful experience at Applebutter Inn, and I'd say it's a must-stay if you're heading east.

The take-away breakfast for early skiers was a lovely detail. Jill and Don were wonderful hosts at this charming inn, and I’d highly recommend staying here when traveling to the Woodstock area.
