Having IHOP in the same parking lot was handy, and the post office, grocery store, bank, and plenty more were just a block away. The rooms were spacious, clean, and quiet, and the staff were attentive. I stayed long enough that I feel I would have noticed if there were real problems, so I don't agree with the negative reviews I read. The manager, I think his name was Bobby, went out of his way to help me instead of just sending me to Choice hotels' 800 number. It's only a few miles from DC, and I'd definitely stay here again for business or pleasure. Perfect, 10/10!

We had to leave early after a family emergency came up the day after we arrived for our three-night holiday stay. When I tried the front desk, nobody was there. I called and was told nothing could be done, though they offered Choice reward points that I apparently should have claimed before the trip. The communication and help were minimal, and the staff showed little friendliness or care. I've never had a hotel at any price point be so unable to accommodate an unexpected situation. I'd tell people to stay somewhere else in Maryland.

Never again. I was meant to get into my room at 3, but the lobby was hotter than outside and so stuffy I could barely breathe. Then I was told 4pm. Check-out was noon, yet they were banging on my door at 9 in the morning and woke me up. The room smelled disgusting, like it had been mopped with an old mop, and the sheets looked unchanged. I pulled them all back and slept without a blanket. Don't do it.

I left without showering because I was afraid to use the bathtub. The TV didn't work, the room was cold, the fridge was hot, and the bed covers were stained. The toilet was so awkwardly low that I couldn't have used it if I were six feet tall. Not impressed at all. Maybe the place next door is better.

The mattress sagged badly in the middle and really needs replacing. The iron leaked and was chained to the ironing board, with a chain too short to use it comfortably. Breakfast was just old pastries. The room was clean and the staff were friendly enough, but this is basically a cheap place to sleep. Spend a little more and you can do much better.
