Homewood Suites by Hilton Tallahassee

I spent six weeks here and was impressed throughout. What made the stay especially good was the staff: Jose, Sally, Rebecca, and Jonathan at the front desk were consistently friendly, attentive, and professional. Tiara and Keisha made breakfast and the social hours welcoming, while maintenance and housekeeping were courteous and responsive, keeping the rooms spotless and things running smoothly. The property is well maintained, with lovely landscaping, ample parking, a clean pool, and a well-equipped workout room. Breakfast had a great selection each morning. Several nights a week, the hotel held social hours with wine, beer, cheese, and freshly baked cookies, which added a warm, communal feel. The amenities made everyday routines easy during an extended stay. The hotel exceeded my expectations, and I'm already looking forward to coming back. Highly recommended for a short or extended visit.

The Halloween decorations were nice, and the grits at breakfast were good. But there was no oatmeal, even though every other Hilton I've stayed at worldwide has it in a vat. The bathroom also had no light switch, making a nighttime trip there difficult. The bigger problem was the air conditioning. These units make a pulsating roar like a freight train through the middle of the room, a huge issue in Florida. I tried running it while we were out to cool the room, then switching it off at night. But the neighboring room's AC was still rumbling all night. Here, you can have air conditioning or a night's sleep, but not both. If you want to sleep, avoid this hotel.

The room was clean and nice, and the hotel itself was very clean. Customer service was great, so I had a great stay overall. The only problem was the AC. It didn't really get cold, even though the room wasn't hot either. I set it to 66* and slept without blankets because it was a bit warm. Other than that, everything was great. Thank you.

The staff were very friendly and breakfast was good. The property is somewhat older, and the rooms are a little frayed, but I came back for another week-long stay.
