Breakfast was a real bright spot, with plenty of choices and very good coffee. The bed was comfortable, the room was very clean, and the shower had strong pressure with nice Dove products. We only stayed one night after arriving in San Francisco, and the hotel is a short drive north of the Golden Gate Bridge. The bathroom felt cramped, with barely any vanity space, and the toilet sat about 6 inches from the wall, making it tighter still. There were a couple of strange details too, including a coiled cable hanging from the ceiling and sandbags on the porch, apparently because very high tides can cause flooding. The place looks like a converted motel, but we had a decent stay.

The room was clean, and you can't beat the location for getting to Muir woods. The hotel feels a little old, but it was comfortable. I arrived late and at first felt uneasy seeing one employee handling the phones, check-ins, and everything else at the front desk. He was welcoming and knew his stuff, though. Once he'd helped the guests ahead of me, he got me checked in quickly. His positive attitude completely changed the mood for me. His name was Enrique, and I made sure to thank him. Enrique, you're awesome!

The cozy feel of the place and its handy location made it easy to explore the area. I was also impressed by the room's stunning views and how friendly and helpful the staff were.

The free bike rentals made it easy to ride along the water and around nearby areas, and the views were beautiful. The staff were great too. I spent the two nights before this stay at the holiday in excited in downtown San Francisco, and the atmosphere here felt completely different. We'll definitely stay here again!

The heated pool, gas bonfire, and walking and biking path by the estuary were all nice to have. My family especially appreciated the coffee and breakfast, and the staff were warm and friendly. We came for a couple of nights to meet up with family and friends, with day hikes and state park visits on the agenda. The location worked well for that, and we'd come back and recommend it.
