Embassy Suites by Hilton Tampa USF Near Busch Gardens

The hotel was clean throughout, and the staff I met were friendly, welcoming, and professional. I was there for a three-night conference and had a massage table that needed to get from the entrance to the ballroom. A man brought a cart and wheeled it there for me, so I didn’t have to carry or roll it myself. Luggage storage was another helpful perk since I could leave my bags until check-in after class. My room was clean and well appointed, with a nice view of the trees that I’d chosen. It was room 326. The public restroom was clean too. I didn’t try the restaurant. Breakfast was okay, though I’m not usually a fan of hotel breakfasts. There were the usual diced cooked potatoes, eggs, fruit, muffins, pastries, and bagels, plus made-to-order eggs and omelets, bacon, and sausage. The only real complaint was hot water. Showering around 9 pm each night, I got cool or cold water instead. Not the end of the world. On the first evening, the door-lock battery failed and locked me out. An engineer came within 20 minutes, let me in, and fixed the lock. The location is convenient for shopping and restaurants, as well as nearby hospitals, Moffitt Cancer Center, and the VA. I believe the hotel offers a shuttle to many local attractions and perhaps the hospitals too. Busch Gardens and MOSI are nearby, though MOSI isn’t great for adults. The USF Botanical Gardens are close, about a 13-minute walk, and I enjoyed being near them.

My sister-in-law and I had a great girls’ weekend, four days from March 5-9. The team were friendly and full of useful information. Matt worked the bar and drove us to Adventure Island; Kat was a bartender and waitress at the Mangrove cafe’; Dave and Keys drove us to Busch Gardens; and Angel managed the bar and mezzanine area. They’re a great group of people, and I hope this gets passed along to them. I’d recommend the hotel and look forward to coming back. Thank you!

The hotel is very close to the VA hospital, the university, and Bush Garden's, and there’s shuttle service available. The driver was safe, friendly, and polite. I’m nearly three hours from Palm Bay, and the VA has placed me here for appointments three times now. The hotel is clean and comfortable, with a spacious, very clean room and a bed that’s really comfortable. Plenty of pillows, too. Breakfast is superb, and the staff are happy to help and cheerful even early in the morning. They keep everything clean and organized. Everyone is super friendly and willing to help however they can. I haven’t stayed long enough to try the happy hour, but I’m sure that staff are as friendly and helpful as the breakfast crew. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the area. It’s worth every penny, and I can’t wait for my next stay.

That shuttle ride to Busch Gardens felt safe and went really smoothly. The service was great throughout our stay: the front desk women were helpful, Angela at the restaurant was lovely, and the bartender took great care of us at happy hour every night. Breakfast was also spot on each morning, and we’ll definitely be back. The only drawback was the showers. They seemed a bit dated and could have been cleaner.
