Holiday Inn Express & Suites Tampa Stadium – Airport Area by IHG

The nearby area felt a little sketchy, though the hotel kept its doors locked at night and had a staff member in the lobby watching who came in. I chose this place for the EV chargers, and they worked perfectly and were easy to use. The staff were great, the room was nice, and we enjoyed the pool and outdoor space.

The room was roomy, with a comfortable bed and pillows, though the decor felt bare. I had to go down to the lobby and pay $4 for water because there wasn’t a complimentary bottle in the room, which was inconvenient when I needed to take my medication at bedtime. Breakfast ended at 9 a.m.; I think 6:30 to 9:30 would work better for travelers. I passed three staff members during my stay and none greeted me.

Got in around 10 p.m. after a long flight. The room was a good size, clean, and really comfortable, and breakfast the next morning was good. I’d stay again.

Our family of six fit into a room with two beds and a couch, though it was a tight squeeze. The beds were very firm, which was my one complaint, but the bedding and towels were clean. The hotel was exceptionally clean, and the staff were friendly, kind, and very helpful. There’s plenty of seating outside, and the pool area was clean with both sunny and shaded spots. The outdoor family games include mini golf, cornhole, and Connect Four. The gym was decent for a hotel, though the only bottle filler is inside it, which wasn’t convenient for me since I refill my bottle often. The bathroom had full-size Dove bottles of body wash, conditioner, hand soap, and lotion. Breakfast had eggs, omelets, cubed potatoes, turkey sausage, cereal, oatmeal, pancakes, bagels, pastries, yogurt, cinnamon rolls, and juice. Coffee is freshly made in the lobby all day. Riviters, a family-friendly bar and restaurant, is just outside the parking lot and had good food. There’s also a drive-through restaurant in the lot and a Walmart within walking distance. We ordered Pizza Hut through DoorDash, and it reached our room in under 40 minutes.
