La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Tampa Brandon West

I stay here three to five times a week and highly recommend it. The rooms are cleaned and prepared well before check-in, and it's quiet with no unpleasant smells. I haven't had issues with bed bugs or cockroaches. The morning coffee is good. Breakfast is available, though I don't usually eat in the mornings. I really like this hotel.

We lasted less than an hour before leaving. While we were there, I tried calling a few other hotels for prices, but every call from that bedroom failed within three rings. That was creepy. Then, when my boyfriend went to get the car, we found someone had backed into our rental and left several huge, visible marks on the side. We'd only picked it up that morning. The room was filthy and felt sketchy. Every lamp was rusting, mold was spreading from the ceiling sprinkler system, and there were bugs and clearly someone else's hair in the bed. The bed smelled so sour it was almost unbearable to sit on. We heard a woman outside negotiating with a potential customer, so it wasn't just an assumption that she was a prostitute. There wasn't a working water fountain anywhere in the building. When I asked about drinking water, the man at the front desk said my only option was to buy bottles from him, cash only. The other guests looked dirty and unkempt. I know it's not my place to judge, but it stood out. This was the worst place I've ever stayed. There are a million other hotels in the area, and taking a chance on this one isn't worth it.

It's a convenient spot, with restaurants, shops, and main roads easy to reach. For the price, the value is unbeatable, and I especially appreciated how clean and safe the property felt. My room was spotless, the bed really comfortable, and the atmosphere peaceful and quiet. Housekeeping was attentive, and the amenities were in great shape. The front desk staff were welcoming and professional from the moment I arrived. I had a wonderful stay and will be back.
