Macdill Motel

It was a very clean, relaxed stay, and it felt like home. Management was great and always made sure we were safe and had everything we needed. I’m glad I stayed there.

The area felt quiet and safe, and the place was fairly clean. But the bed and bathroom need attention. It seems smoking has been banned for years, yet someone left burn damage on things like the bathtub and bed blankets. Those should be replaced. I'm used to basic places and don't expect much beyond a bed without bedbugs, but paying customers shouldn't have to put up with this. It hurts the business.

The location is great, but the staff were nasty and disrespectful. The man running the office lives there and apparently loses his mind if you call after hours. They won't give refunds, and the hotel smells like stale cigarettes and old feet. 10/10, would not recommend to anyone.

Cockroaches in the room, and when I needed help I couldn't find the employee. He was outside smoking. The night shift staff member was rude and dismissive, and seemed high on marijuana. When I arrived with my scooter, he yelled that I should leave it outside if I was worried about theft, then said he wouldn't be responsible for it. I felt really uncomfortable with how hostile he was. He also insisted on cash, which made me uneasy about the safety of my personal information. Between that, the pests, and the lack of professionalism and cleanliness, I decided not to stay. It was an unsafe, unpleasant experience, and I hope the motel takes the feedback seriously and trains its staff better.
