Motel 301

We went to the casino for the night and arrived really late. The owners were SO nice, and the room was affordable and clean, with comfy beds and a clean hot shower and bathroom. I'd only been looking for a cheap room to sleep for a couple of hours, but I was pleasantly surprised. I'll call here first next time I'm in town. I dropped one of my things on the ground, and the owner went out of his way to keep it safe for me until morning. Highly recommend!

The place felt rundown and outdated, and there were people outside the rooms who looked homeless. We had an emergency about an hour after arriving. I explained it to the woman at the desk, but she didn't seem to care, and I’d hoped they might understand and refund us. Maybe it works for a night’s sleep, but I’d save the money and stay elsewhere. I also have to laugh at the positive reviews, since they seem to be from people the owners asked to post.

The rooms are really clean, and the rates are great compared with chain hotels and motels. The owners are lovely, friendly, and accommodating. Anyone posting something bad about the place is just someone who broke the rules and got asked to leave. In other words, they're lying.

It's a decent little budget motel, but I felt like they were trying to get another $100 out of me. They said they’d have to throw away the sheets, even though they could've washed them with bleach, and tried charging me extra. They knew we had kids in the room, and kids make messes. They could've just said I was responsible for cleaning the sheets, and I would've done it without a problem. Instead, it felt like they were making excuses to see if they could squeeze money out of me.
