Red Roof Inn Tampa Fairgrounds – Casino

The location worked well, close to the casino, fairgrounds, and lots of restaurants. We had a clean, comfortable standard room, and check-in was easy. The staff were friendly, and coffee was available in the lobby in the morning. We had a great experience at the Red Roof Inn and will definitely come back. Thank you!

The room was big, and I didn't mind it overall. I paid just $2 more per night for the deluxe, which came with a fridge and microwave. The standard room doesn't have those. There was a hair dryer, ironing board, and coffee supplies, but no coffee pot. I'm not a coffee drinker, so it didn't bother me much. I assume the front desk could provide a pot, and maybe an iron if you asked. The room was clean except the floor, which is carpeted only by the door and on both sides of the bed. It needed a quick sweep and vacuum. The TV was huge, maybe 55 inches, but although it had DirecTV, only six channels got a signal. The hotel is behind a gas station and across from the fairgrounds, and I didn't feel very safe in the area.

This is easily the cleanest and most updated Red Roof we've stayed at. The room was spotless and smelled great, and the bathroom was clean and did everything we needed. We're impressed by how much pride they take in the hotel. We'll definitely be back. 5+/5.

The smell was so bad in the non-smoking room we booked that it felt hard to breathe. In less than 30 minutes, we spotted six bugs, including roaches. There was mold in the bathtub, spiderwebs everywhere, and dirt all over the floor. Disgusting. Please don't stay here or give them your money.
