University Serenity Suites 14th

The check-in was quick, and the code worked for the apartment. But it hadn't been maintained or cleaned. The couch was supposed to be black but looked moldy, and the whole place seemed untouched by cleaning. Nothing looked like the pictures. It was a horrible experience.

This place is a complete dump. The rooms aren't worth $150, they won't give you the WiFi code no matter how many times you ask, and toiletries sometimes aren't available when you check in. The area is ghetto. The only convenient things are no security deposit and being allowed to smoke in the airbnbs. I've spent over $1.1K with these people and still got trash customer service. It's unbelievably unprofessional. Almost nobody ever answers the phone, and it's really hard to reach anyone.

We were traveling for business nearby and found this place close to university mall, with lots of shops and restaurants. It's also a few blocks from USF and the Yuengling Center for concerts and events. The property had new units, including a new bathroom and kitchen, and laundry on site. They were still setting up some units while we were there. The staff were very friendly and offered my family a number to text if we needed anything, which helped since we're from out of town. I spoke with the property manager, who stopped by to check on the guests and staff. Everyone was approachable and eager to help. I'd read the earlier reviews but didn't run into those issues: the door code worked, and nobody entered our room. People should try the property and enjoy being the first to use a unit 😊.

I booked this place through Priceline to evacuate because I live in a mandatory evacuation zone for Hurricane Milton. Within an hour of booking, I called to cancel so I could go to the east coast. Priceline refunded part of my fees and confirmed that this place would refund me too, but now they're refusing. I never stayed there, I'm out $600, and they won't even answer the phone.
