The location is great and the front desk team were friendly, professional, and helpful. But the restaurant was a mess. It says service runs until 9 and the kitchen until 8:30, yet they were clearing food before then. I only wanted a little salad and asked if I could serve myself before it was gone. After I ate, they charged me the full buffet price for a small plate of lettuce and vegetables. It wasn’t really about the cost, but the lack of clear information and customer care. I’d avoid the restaurant. The rooms smell damp. There’s nowhere to get food for yourself apart from the buffet, which was awful on the first day, so we didn’t try it again. No vending machines or market, the kids club and pool bar are closed, and every restaurant is shut until 5 except the little coffee shop. Without a rental car to go elsewhere, I wouldn’t recommend staying here.

The staff were friendly and helpful, and after a disappointing lounge happy hour, the Japanese beef bowl, Gyudon, from the bakery came to the rescue. But there were problems everywhere else. The Corner Suit was spacious, with two bathroom sinks, though one leaked and the other was clogged. The hotel feels old and not like a lively resort. During our February 2026 visit it seemed nearly empty, with few people in the restaurants or around the pools. There isn’t really a beach. You can reach the ocean, but the water is shallow and dirty, with rocks and coral, and walking without water shoes seems dangerous. It isn’t suitable for swimming. Club Lounge food was disappointing too: fries, very dry fried chicken, cheese, and sandwiches, with poor freshness and quality. The cucumbers were limp and the tomatoes tasted odd. The infinity pool bar was open for only a couple of hours and was already closed when we went, probably because there were so few guests. It felt like the hotel could do better in every area.

The setting is beautiful, the walking paths are nice, and the pool separation helped with noise. The view was good too, but the beds were extremely hard. Food was a bigger letdown. The regular restaurants weren’t available for lunch or dinner as advertised, and the light food we found included cold fries that weren’t anything special. At the small bakery, more than half the cake was gone and the remaining slices looked moldy, alongside fruit cups. I told an employee, who just apologized and asked if I wanted a drink. Seeing mold on several pieces made me doubt the espresso machine was clean too. Moldy food sitting in the case suggests daily cleanliness isn’t being handled. Disappointing.

The good parts were the friendly, helpful, professional staff, the breakfast buffet and its restaurant team, the well-kept grounds, the view, and the two pools. We like being away from crowded Tumon Bay and will probably stay again, but I’ll check the tub before unpacking next time. Our first room’s shower drained very slowly. Maintenance came quickly and were polite, but left water across the bathroom floor and into the hall. When we tried the shower, it still wasn’t fixed. We were moved upstairs to a nicer room, only to find the same problem. After removing the drain cover, we found and cleared a huge hairball. No one checked back or asked if the room was okay. It was a hassle waiting for maintenance, cleaning up after them, finding the problem unfixed, packing everything again, moving, then taking apart the drain ourselves. I’d checked the tub before unpacking, but assumed it would be handled when they sent maintenance right away, so we unpacked. I won’t make that assumption again. The bed was unbelievably uncomfortable, like sleeping on a few towels on the floor. My back and neck hurt, which made the vacation hard to enjoy. We’ve stayed at lots of hotels around the world and I don’t think I’ve had a bed this bad.

We spent 18 days at this quiet resort. The rooms are small but clean, and the pools are lovely. We had a wonderful ocean view, though there’s no beach. RIHGA is away from the main resort area, but the trolleys run all day to take you there if you don’t have a rental car.
