The Farmstand Bed & Breakfast

We had an easy drive to the wedding we were attending, and the property was simple to find. Kimball and Neysa took wonderful care of me at their B&B. They even accommodated an earlier wake-up so we could have a lovely breakfast made with local ingredients. We got to choose from six homemade jams. I had no idea lavender and peony could taste so good. We enjoyed the morning on their screened porch, looking out over the blossoming garden. They sent us home with maple syrup, and we’re excited to try it on pancakes using the recipe from their website. We’ll need to come back in the fall to try their homemade cider.

The food we bought was hearty, generous, delicious, and very reasonably priced. We had a wonderful night at the Barn concert series featuring Alana MacDonald. It’s a cozy venue, with seats close to the stage and a top-notch sound system. Owners Neysa and Kimball welcomed us warmly, along with the other guests, to their quaint, comfortable B & B and antique Barn. The Farmstead and The Barn feel like hidden treasures, and we’re sure to return often.

We stayed the night, and the room was clean with a comfortable bed. Breakfast was top notch, made with local farm-to-table ingredients. We came for the music venue and had a pulled pork dinner with outstanding beans before the show. Our seats were in the barn, and the music was just the right volume. The band was great, and you could also sit outside and listen. I highly recommend The Farmstand Bed and Breakfast.

If a humble, home-like feel isn’t your thing, this probably won’t suit you. Neysa and Kimball were incredibly accommodating, and spending time there felt like being with family. Everything was clean and tidy. There were snacks, history, and entertainment at night, followed by the best breakfast in the morning. It’s more than a stay, it’s an experience. A couple of things to know: there’s no AC and the bathroom is shared. The nights in this area are cool, so the lack of AC didn’t bother me. I’d give it six stars if I could. Thank you!
