Days Inn By Wyndham Tannersville

I usually stay here after nights at Mount Airy Casino. The hotel is only 15 minutes from the casino, and there are two gas stations and a BK less than a minute away by car. The outlets are nearby too if you want to shop. For a 2 star, I'm not sure what to expect, but my room usually includes breakfast. There's Wi-Fi in all the rooms, and the TV has an HDMI port, so I can plug in my Firestick. Once, on a rainy night, the internet went down. I called the front desk, and the man offered to move me because the lobby connection was working fine. It was already late, so I stayed put and went to bed. I'd never had Wi-Fi problems before that rainy night.

Rotten fruit hidden behind the TV was the most revolting discovery, and it made it seem like the room hadn't been cleaned in a long time. The bathroom also had cockroaches, which is unacceptable in any hotel. Hygiene was clearly neglected. The room was in terrible shape when we arrived. The sink was broken and hard to use, and the bathtub was filthy. This hotel has serious cleanliness, maintenance, and pest control problems. It feels neglected and poorly managed. I'm extremely disappointed and would strongly advise people to stay far away unless they want dirt, insects, and broken facilities. Rooms shouldn't be rented in this condition.

Smith at the front desk went above and beyond to make our stay great. Check-in was easy, and the room was just what we expected, simple, functional, and clean, with a TV, coffee maker, microwave, and fridge. The free breakfast was a nice surprise: coffee, eggs, toast, and cereal. Highly recommend for an easy, hassle-free visit!

I guess the motel stereotype holds up. The walls were dirty, the chair was filthy, there was mold by the shower, and the shower curtain rod was hanging down. The shower area looked like it hadn't been cleaned in weeks, and there was some unknown stuff on the nightstand between the beds. When I checked out, they said they'd misplaced my cash deposit and claimed the cameras showed I never gave one, even though I did. The floor had been swept, and the desk and dresser were clean, so I'll give them that. The front desk people seemed nice, but it felt like a facade. I'd stay away and go next door instead.
