I made a mistake when booking and tried to cancel within 24 hours, but they wouldn't accommodate me. That seems like basic customer service to me. They saved a little money and lost a customer, along with getting a bad review. I'd avoid this place.

The cabins are called "rustic," but they're really outdated. The bedding and pillows were old and dingy, the shower curtain was dirty, and the carpet throughout was old and filthy. It smelled clean, but it wasn't. There were cobwebs in every corner, the fridge was dirty, and dust and dirt had built up along the floor corners and the bunk bed frame. To top it off, we saw a mouse in the middle of the night. I don't understand how this place has so many high ratings.

It's a good base for resting and eating when you're out at Coyote Creek, especially if you're there to fish or hunt. The rooms are old and rustic, with bunks, queen beds, a little kitchen, and a bathroom. There's no TV or radio, so the entertainment is outside. Across the street, you can hear wild turkeys near the few ponds, and the evenings are great for trout fishing. The creek is good too. Sitting on the deck in the fresh air with a smoke is nice. The service is great. Don in the office is a friendly guy, and Rex is happy to make sure your stay is comfortable and safe. The place would work well if you're thinking about heading up there to get away.

We were told the RV we rented was a bunkhouse with a separate room, but it was a small unit with an open bed and open bunks in back. The website had no pictures, so I had to take their word for it. There was no slide-out and hardly any room to move around. We rented another trailer for extra space, but it was in terrible shape and we couldn't use it: there was no AC, and the windows wouldn't open enough to let air through, so it wouldn't cool down. We couldn't get a refund for the unused nights. The place is run down, and I wouldn't recommend staying here.

The best part was being able to walk to the ponds where my family was fishing. They caught 3 fish in 2 hours, and the rest of my family was camping nearby in their own trailers. The trailer itself wasn’t clean when we arrived, especially the toilet, microwave, and couches. The owners said we could ask for more towels. The outdoor bathrooms and showers were much cleaner, so I’d use those. It’s kid and pet friendly, though I’d bring a leash since at least 2 dogs and cats roam around. Nights were a little noisy, but it was okay overall. There’s a beautiful view when you step outside the Cabins and RV Park.
