Best Western Edinburgh/Columbus

We came to the area for a wedding, and everyone on staff made us feel welcome. The room was clean, and the full breakfast had a nice range of options. There’s also good outlet mall shopping nearby. I’d stay here again.

I rarely leave reviews, but this stay was bad enough that I had to say something. The room was dirty and damp, the shower was coming apart, and the water pressure was awful. Even the back entrance to the building wouldn’t lock. The worst part came after we arrived late, around 2 a.m. We were charged twice for the stay, and staff said the second charge was because our room smelled like Marijuana. We had no way to dispute that extra charge. It felt like a predatory way to take advantage of people who couldn’t challenge it. Beware, don’t stay here.

We were there for no more than six hours during a road trip, just long enough to sleep before leaving in the morning. Neither my partner nor I smoke, but afterward they charged us a smoking fee. When I called to explain, they wouldn’t budge. I’m not sure anyone could have smelled smoke over the mildew anyway. The room was damp and had a moldy basement odor, and there were roaches too. I suspect this may be something they do for extra money, but that’s only my impression. I wouldn’t recommend the hotel.

I stayed in May 2026, and the rooms and facility were nicer than I’d expected. What really stood out, though, was how they handled the clothes I left behind in a bag. I called the next day, they sent photos so I could identify my things, then mailed them that same day by priority mail. They charged my card only the exact postage and even texted later to check that the package arrived. I haven’t had hotel service like that in years, and I’ll happily return when I’m in the area.
