There’s a free shuttle to the gondolas, though it’s only about a 10-minute walk if you’d rather go on foot. The place had one master suite and three junior suites, each with its own bathroom. There was also a small balcony with a table and chairs, nice for coffee, and a great view. Liquor is VERY expensive at the store near the gondola, but prices are normal in Telluride.

The setting is lovely, and I liked the saline pool, though it gets crowded because it’s small for the number of rooms. The outdoor BBQ area is nice too. The two hot tubs had more chlorine than I’ve ever encountered, and we felt a bit sick from it, so we used the small pool instead. It’s a wonderful old-school lodge on the mountain. Our room got very hot in the strong afternoon sun, and some units that heat up like that will need air conditioning. Some staff were very nice, while others didn’t seem to care much. Still, we had a great experience overall.
Oscar was kind and very helpful, making sure my guests and I had what we needed. The shuttle made getting to the gondolas quick and easy, and we’ll certainly come back. Everything about the stay was incredible, especially during the Alderwild fest, when the accommodations and service fully met our needs. The only drawback was that the AC units didn’t work. Opening the windows ahead of time and asking for a fan should make it manageable.
A beautiful place with lovely rooms and kind staff. I especially loved having a shuttle to the gondola.
Apache, the maintenance man, noticed my rental car had a flat tire and filled it with air at 3:45. That got me to the tire shop just before it closed at 4, and they patched it. Apache and the concierge saved my weekend. The condo was bigger than I expected, very quiet, and had one of the most comfortable beds I’ve slept in. I loved the pool and hot tub too. It’s a beautiful place, and the service was incredible.
