Cimarron Lodge 20 by Avantstay Ski In/ Ski Out Condo in Ideally Located Complex w/ Hot Tubs!

We booked through Airbnb and found the place good. It’s within walking distance of Main Street and the Gondola station. The river walk runs right behind the lodge and makes for an easy, pretty stroll into town.

Our condo was beautiful and right at the bottom of lift 7, which gave our group of four easy access to the mountain. Getting luggage in and out was tough, though. We were in a middle unit, and the only easy place to park was at the end of the complex. Since this is a winter resort, we hoped everyone could come back for a warm shower or bath, but the hot water ran out before all four of us could do that. The mattresses were lumpy, though that’s not the fault of the complex overall. Lift 7 wasn’t running while we were skiing, so we had to use the gondola to get up and down the mountain. Luckily, the gondola and Gallopung Goose, the free shuttle service, meant we didn’t have to walk all the way. It was a bummer to have that whole side of the mountain closed. We’d stay here again, but we’d think through the logistics more carefully, double-check which condo we’d be in, and see which trails and lifts are open.

We had a wonderful week in a lovely, clean unit close to the walking trails and very near the slopes. The gondola was .4 miles away.

Lift 7 is right in the backyard, and you can ski home via Telluride Trail. It’s also an easy walk into town along the river. Hard to beat the location.
