The village location was great and very central. Our November 2025 check-in, though, wasn't great. The company gave us the wrong door code, and getting the door open required a particular up, down, up pull. They'd also said we could park beside the building to unload, but that area was under construction, so we had to unload from a garage much farther away. They need to keep better track of construction.

Unit 2a needs some maintenance. The living room carpet is awful, the fireplace vents are falling out, and the master jacuzzi tub doesn't work, though you can still shower and bathe. One living room window won't open, and missing weatherstripping at the patio door lets the living room cool down quickly. The kitchen was fully stocked with plates, cups, and pans, plus leftovers from previous renters like coffee and spices. There was only enough toilet paper for one day, but they delivered more when we asked. The elevator light is out, leaving it completely dark, and the elevator smells funky.

Unit B worked well for my solo trip. The studio is small but has a nicely sized kitchen, and a couple or very small family would be comfortable there too. There's no view from the room, but the lift is just a one- to two-minute walk away. You can't ski to the door, though it's close enough to trudge over in your boots. Le Chamonix is above Boot Doctors and well placed in Mountain Village, about two or three minutes on foot from the gondola station. It was a great stay for a good price. One tip: sort out your contract and lockbox code before you arrive. Otherwise you'll have to detour to Telluride, not Mountain Village, to pick up the key, which can be a real hassle.
