This was our second booking with Alpine Lodging Telluride, and we’re just as happy as the first time. The condo was comfortable and well stocked, and the team responded quickly, whether we needed another frying pan or help with noisy neighbors. We haven’t had this kind of personal service with other companies, especially ones based outside town. We’ll definitely be back, thank you!

The view and location were beautiful, and I appreciated the $100 they gave us for the heating problem. Still, we won’t stay with Alpine lodging again. Check-in felt cold and rude, and most communication was by text. We’d booked a lodge in a different location, but I’d mixed up the dates and called to see if anything else was available for the weekend I wanted. The on-call representative was friendly and found us another room. She didn’t mention an upcharge, but we understood when we were notified since this room had a kitchen instead of being a loft. The room was very outdated. When we opened the pullout couch, there was a T-shirt left by the previous guest, so I wasn’t confident it had been cleaned properly. There was no soap in the bathroom, and the towels were so rough I joked that I didn’t need to exfoliate. We also woke up freezing because the bedroom heater had its own thermostat, hidden behind an armoire, and nobody had told us about it. We got little sleep and had to use the pullout couch, where the heater worked. I wish they’d updated the rooms like the ones shown in the online photos.

The place at LuluCity 5C was lovely, from the decor to the location and views. What really stood out, though, was how responsive Alpine Valley was throughout the process, with great emails and texts. Huge thanks to Stevie, who quickly got me back in after I realized I’d left my entry code inside and panicked that I was locked out for the night. I’m so grateful. Highly recommend!

The place refunded one night, but I had to fight to get it. I’d never return, not in a thousand lifetimes. It was a nightmare. My children and I stayed there for a little over a week in the summer of 2014. The room was cramped, and my son’s fold-out bed blocked the way to the bathroom. There was no breakfast on days two and three, and the cream cheese in the fridge was moldy, so we ate out. The shared kitchen wasn’t restocked until day four. They only cleaned if you requested it; we did, but the cleaners never came. Then, without telling us, they changed our door code after hours. The emergency number posted in the downtown office, not at the hotel, went unanswered. Panicking, I ran around town and called other hotels for help, while my children were left downtown. I was imagining we’d have to sleep in the car. After two hours, a clerk at a neighboring establishment gave me another emergency desk clerk’s number. She’d been handling an emergency at another location, which is why she hadn’t answered my earlier calls. They don’t have enough staff. Looking back, I should have accepted the cost, booked somewhere else, and moved midweek. My children didn’t want to move, so I stayed.
