The front desk team were warm and courteous, with great smiles, and I was very satisfied with the stay. A few small room details kept it from being perfect: the window blind wouldn’t close all the way, there were no disposable slippers, and the Wi-Fi 5 felt dated, with a below-par signal and a connection topping out at 150Mbps.

I asked for extra towels and Chris kindly brought them, and they allowed us to check out late, at 12pm. But the room itself was in poor shape when we arrived. There was a rag on the floor, the floor felt hard, almost like the rug had been pulled out and it was concrete underneath, the tub had hair in it, and the floor felt sticky and dirty when I took off my shoes. After checkout, my husband realized he’d left a pair of my daughter’s adida shoes by the door. We’d been rushing because he had brought lots of gifts for the kids, including shoes and toys. I kept calling about them. Audit Craig was dismissive and told me to call in the morning. Kathy said the room hadn’t been cleaned yet because they were short-staffed, but that there were no shoes there. I asked her to call me if anything turned up. I then spoke to Chris, who said he’d call back Wednesday 3/4/26 to follow up, but never did. Now when I call to speak to someone, the operator transfers me and the front desk hangs up. I’m a GOLD MEMBER and live about an hour away. I used to work for Baymont by Wyndham, so I know the policy is 30 days to claim lost items. But if staff don’t report something, how am I supposed to trust they’ll handle it? I feel I have no choice but to accuse them of taking my daughter’s shoes, since they’ve gone missing. Chris said he would follow up and didn’t, and now nobody is answering my calls. The staff need to communicate better and speak to customers properly. How can I trust someone who says they’ll call but doesn’t?

I don’t mind some noise, but people in my hallway were partying, shouting, and slamming doors from 1am to 3am. When I mentioned it to the front desk the next morning, I was told there had been no noise and not one person was in the hall all night. I’d been awake all night and didn’t appreciate being treated like a liar. So much for customer service. The room also had big empty patches where furniture seemed to be missing. I expected at least a chair or something in those spaces. The faux wood floor was really sticky and warped, with bubbles in it.

The hotel itself was just okay, neither especially good nor bad, but the people made the stay pleasant. Front desk staff, the woman who ran breakfast, and housekeeping were all kind and ready to help with a smile. Whether I needed towels, late-night snacks, or replacement keys, they helped out. I’d recommend staying here.

This is a quiet, cozy, comfortable hotel with low rates. It’s older, so if you’re used to newer IHG, Marriott, or Hilton properties, expect things like no digital keys, EV charging, or smart TV, plus the lingering odor you often get in older buildings. Breakfast was nice, with scrambled eggs, potatoes, bacon, English muffins, cereal, and yogurt. After one night in Temecula, I’ve added it to my list of places to stay.
