The staff were nice and there was plenty of parking, but the hotel itself felt old and in need of a full redo. It’s right off I-10. In our room, the floor near the tub felt hollow, and the tub seemed like it could give way. The bathroom sink was leaking from the back. There’s a marijuana shop with a drive-through across the street, and people were smoking at the hotel. It got pretty bad. I’d choose somewhere else next time.

I was here on a business trip, and the trouble started right after check-in. The room was 68F, so I tried switching off the air conditioner at the wall thermostat, but it kept running. Ten minutes later cold air was still coming from the unit, and the room had dropped to 66F. I called the front desk. The guy told me to wait a few more minutes. After another ten, it was still blowing and the temperature had fallen to 64F. When I called again, all they offered was to bring a blanket. They said I couldn’t change rooms because the hotel was sold out. That’s completely unacceptable.

We picked this place for a night before an early flight from Phx Sky Harbor. The room was clean, the bed was decent, the shower had hot water, and it was quiet with easy parking. At 4 a.m. when we were leaving, though, there was a homeless guy with his backpack trying to make a bed under the hallway stairs. It felt kind of creepy. We let the front desk know.

I’ve seen the negative comments, and I don’t agree with them. Sure, the place is older, but my room was great and the staff were friendly and did what they could to help. They also do a good job cleaning rooms for people like me on an extended stay. The rooms are comfortable, and the location near the mall and highway works well. I have nothing negative to say. Thanks for everything you all do.
