Hampton Inn Temple

The breakfast stood out, from the woman managing it to the food itself. It was better than what we’ve had at other hotels, and the rest of the place was clean and well maintained. We were here a few weeks ago while one of our grandsons was in the local children’s hospital, and everyone, including the front desk team, housekeepers, and breakfast manager, was exceptionally kind and helped make a difficult stay as pleasant as possible. The front desk staff were especially flexible and helpful when we needed last-minute changes to how long we’d stay. We’ll plan to come back if we’re in the area.

Getting to the Inn and the location itself are a bit wonky, but I wouldn’t take off a star for that. The breakfast was amazing too. I wish I remembered the names of the women who prepared the food and kept the area looking nice. They clearly took pride in their work. We were there right around Christmas when a family emergency came up. As our plans kept changing, everyone at the front desk helped us adjust our schedule. Riley was especially helpful from the moment we came through the front door, and she has a great sense of humor. The staff made us feel cared for like family, not just like customers. We left with hugs, and I can’t thank them enough. After such a great stay at this Hampton Inn, I’ll look out for other Hampton Inns when we travel.

There are plenty of things here, including an outdoor pool with music, guest laundry, a fitness center, a travel center, and spacious rooms with comfortable beds. The dining area is very nice, and the free breakfast was one of the most edible I’ve had at a mid-level hotel. Props to Sonya for running it. Three restaurants are within walking distance, though McDonald's might be the best of them. It’s set back from the interstate, so the west-facing rooms don’t get traffic noise. It isn’t the easiest place to access, but it’s not impossible. Probably the nicest mid-level hotel in the city, and an excellent choice for a Temple stay.

We came to town for a conference and had booked a room at Home 2 Suites, but that experience was horrible and we didn’t stay there. Rylee at Hampton Inn was awesome and got us a room quickly. She was very kind, as were the staff we met at breakfast and checkout the next morning. If I come to Temple again, I’ll definitely stay at Hampton Inn. Thanks for turning a bad experience into a pleasant one.
