Plymouth Motor Lodge

We gave this place another try after staying here two years ago, and the renovated room was a nice surprise. The area was quiet, and there was no smoke smell at all. The staff were so friendly and great. We’ll definitely stay here again. I’m glad we came back.

For the price, this basic motel is a good deal, and the location and staff were nice. Our room was decent, with no problems. The frustrating part was having to call every day to ask for towels, and they didn’t clean the room or change the sheets daily. You’d think that would happen automatically. If you just need somewhere quiet to stay for a night or two in a decent location, I’d recommend it.

The rooms were cleaner than Jay's motel, though that’s not saying much. Still, I didn’t have a great experience here. It felt like we were always being watched, and the place is expensive for how dumpy it is. Also, don’t bring more than an overnight bag, since they won’t let you take it into a room.

We were able to visit St Joseph's Church in Winsted, CT, and the room worked out well for the location and price. It was very clean, and the king bed gave us plenty of room to spread out. Street noise was the one issue. Management couldn’t do anything about it, but we were still happy with the room, especially since we decided to stay at the last minute.
