Swiss Mountain Motel

The owner, Len, was very accommodating, and the room had everything we needed. We only stayed one night, but it was clean and comfortable. The motel has a cozy, quaint feel and ended up exceeding what we expected.

My girlfriend and I absolutely loved this motel. The owner is super friendly and can help with late check ins if needed. The price is reasonable for the location, not far from Grand Teton national Park. It’s an older place, but super cute, clean, and comfortable. Cleaner than some name brand hotels we’ve stayed in, so give it a chance.

The rooms were clean, and the picnic area was pleasant, but it had animal residue scattered around. The rooms are tiny, and the closet isn’t useful for most travelers staying just one night. The mattresses were awful for my back, both door locks were unreliable, and the smoke detector was hanging open from the ceiling. This place is old and needs repairs, not vintage. The price didn’t match the quality. With so few alternatives between Yellowstone and Southern Utah, the location may be what keeps the price up. We stayed in Afton when we passed through 30 years ago, and the quality seems to have declined since then.

We arrived very late for check in, and the owner was warm and accommodating. He even had coffee ready in the morning. The rooms are basic but have what you might need, and the old motel was very clean. It’s small and quaint, with a nice vintage feel. I felt safe in the area and would come back if I had the chance.
