Comfort Suites Lady Lake - The Villages

The second shift clerk kept making sarcastic comments about whether the room and toilet were “acceptable,” especially when we came back for another night and were hit with a surprise $150 security deposit. The whole stay was frustrating. I booked a king room with a jacuzzi, but was told it wasn’t available at check-in, even though I was still charged more than $270. When I questioned the price, the clerk was rude and treated me like I was trying to scam them. The hotel’s website showed king rooms available while the clerk blamed Booking.com for inaccurate listings and said to check the hotel site. The first room had a toilet that wasn’t bolted down, and my wife nearly fell. We were moved to a downgraded queen room for the same price, and that toilet was loose too. Maintenance and cleanliness were unacceptable. This place feels like two-star quality at premium prices, with serious problems around upkeep, price transparency, and service. I wouldn’t recommend it.

The front desk man was cheerful, polite, and really nice, but the room cleanliness could use work. When I asked about staying a second night, the rate would have jumped to $166. That felt outrageous and unfair to me, so I left instead. $83 seemed fair.

The breakfast was better than the usual free spread, and the staff were warm and helpful. My room was comfortable and very clean, and the property is close to everything. I’ll definitely come back when I visit my daughter in Lady Lake-tge Villages.

The place is in a handy spot and the staff were friendly and helpful. It’s dog-friendly, and there were quite a few dogs around, but there was dog hair everywhere and the whole place smelled like dogs. The pool needs a proper cleaning, and the hotel could use some general maintenance and cleaning. WiFi was horrible.
