Home2 Suites by Hilton Tifton, GA

Friendly staff, clean rooms, and a good breakfast made for a great stay. We’ll be back.

We were driving through and the rooms looked nice at first, but trouble showed up fast. The tub filled with water during a shower and wouldn’t drain. I reported it at the front desk and got blank looks, with no maintenance on duty and no fix offered. When I first came to the desk, the clerk was embracing someone. Hilton is starting to feel like the slum line of hotels.

The daytime desk had no solution when I reported bugs. The night desk was very helpful.

We stopped for one night on our way south. The large suite gave our family plenty of space, and the beds and pillows were soft enough to sleep on. The lobby and property looked nice, and it was good to find a hotel that could fit all of us. We used the app for our room and key, so we skipped front desk check-in, though the woman there did welcome us. We had to get back on the road and didn’t try breakfast, but it looked like the usual hot and cold choices with several options. The new hotel’s location was great, but keeping it nice will take effort. Other guests made a mess of the outdoor area and smoked there. Walking through the smell with kids meant explaining why it smelled like skunks, a conversation we didn’t want. Inside, the walls were thin, so we heard loud guests in their rooms and people in the hallway. It felt like some guests weren’t being considerate, and that could spoil someone’s stay.
