The Cascades Inn

Four nights went by too fast, and I’m already planning to come back. I came across this spot on TikTok while searching for places to stay near waterfalls, hoping to get a break from everyday life, and it gave us the peace we wanted. The views are beautiful, and there are chairs and fire pits for the rooms, plus shared areas with deck games. Our room was clean, comfortable, and stocked with what we needed. Everyone on staff was amazing, honestly the best I’ve dealt with. Bring almonds if you want to feed Chippy the squirrel. I can’t think of a single complaint.

The staff were such a lovely part of our stay. They were warm, helpful, and happy to suggest places nearby, and it was easy to connect with them. We also appreciated that the property welcomes pets. Though the rooms are compact, they’re cozy, thoughtfully designed, and have what you need. There are grilling spots, places to gather with friends, games, and several private places by the water to sit or make a bonfire. With only about nine rooms, the hotel feels quiet and secluded. A trail starts right on the property, near the beautiful waterfall, which feels almost private. At night, gentle lighting around the falls makes the area especially peaceful and a little magical. I’d gladly return, and would recommend it to anyone after a calm, different kind of getaway. For me, it’s a 10/10.

The water views and the beautiful property made this more than we’d expected. When I arranged our reservation with Tammy last year and mentioned we planned to get married there, she offered help and suggestions for our day. When we return, we’ll have to invite Tammy to dinner. Alexis welcomed us and soon felt like a close friend to my wife and me. We’re definitely coming back. Thanks so much for the experience!

We had a great time taking the kids down to the river and getting in the water. The river leading to the waterfall was gorgeous, and the cabin sits in breathtaking scenery. By the water there’s a relaxing little setup with a bench swing, chairs, and a small fire pit. Inside, the cabin was clean, cute, and cozy, with everything we needed. The beds were really comfortable, and there were lots of blankets and fresh towels. The décor was adorable, too. The staff were kind, knew the local places to visit, and answered our questions quickly. Sitting on the porch enjoying the view, then falling asleep to the river’s sound, made for a peaceful stay. I’d recommend it to anyone wanting a quiet retreat in nature.
