Ashley Inn of Tillamook

They turned us away in the middle of the night, so we had to find another motel. We only learned at the front desk that service dogs had to weigh under 20 pounds. The rule was on a barely visible handwritten note on the wall, and nobody had told us before we arrived. It wasn’t listed on Booking.com, and our dog is a legally registered federal service dog. The pet policy was also posted at the desk.

We drove an hour and a half only to learn that dogs over 20 pounds aren’t allowed. That restriction wasn’t mentioned anywhere when we booked. If you need a place that accepts dogs, this isn’t it. Tillamook Inn has no weight restriction and has also been recently remodeled.

The early breakfast was a real plus, and the staff were both friendly and professional. Our room was clean and comfortable. The hotel has recently been renovated, and Fred Meyer is right next door if you need to pick something up. There’s some traffic noise, though things quiet down at night.

It’s an older place, but it was quiet, clean, and well looked after. We appreciated being close to downtown and the creamery. Breakfast ordering was a different setup than I expected, but ours was ready the next morning and came out hot and tasty.
