Tilton Lodge Inn and Suites

We arrived during heavy snow and had nowhere else to go, then were charged an extra $75 at check-in. The number listed online turned out to connect to a third-party, AI-run phone service. When I raised the added fees, the front desk was extremely rude and dismissive, and told us we should have googled better to find the right number. Would give zero stars if I could.

The bed was clean, the shower hot, and there was AC and cable. The front desk clerk was kind and quick. But the hallway smelled awful, like The Shining and the Bates motel combined. The shampoo and lotion had already been half used when we arrived. The chair arms were black with built-up dirt, and things need updating. The tub was tan in our room and blue in the other one. I won’t stay again.

The continental breakfast had basic choices, and the rooms were okay. But the staff were horrible, and I wouldn’t stay here again. We had to call someone up to get the TV working, and he was unpleasant to deal with. The gaming room was missing the balls and pieces for both the pool table and ping pong.

I didn’t stay here, but I keep getting charged anyway. When I confronted the manager, he told me to “work the street corner” to get my money back. The charges keep coming, so I’ve had to dispute them with my credit card company. I’d give zero stars if I could. Do not stay here. He’ll steal your money and apparently accuse you of being a prostitute.
