Good Place Farms B&B

We were still talking about our visit a day later and already wanted to go back. I brought my two children, both under three, and wanted somewhere that was truly good with kids. The reviews had said that, and from the moment we drove onto the property, I could see why. My son was thrilled by the horses, pigs, chickens, and kitty Thelma, the outdoor cat who greets you on the way up to the B&B. Justin welcomed us like family. Our room was really clean and comfortable, with thoughtful decor. I was lucky enough to have Chef Justin cook one of the best farm-to-table meals I've ever had. I still think about that filet. There was live entertainment at dinner too, with Justin singing and his brother Stephen on piano. The next morning, Liv brought my son along to collect chicken eggs for breakfast, and he got to see all the other animals. For a two-year-old, that was the bee's knees. Justin and the rest of the staff at Good Place Farms understand hospitality and go above and beyond. Justin has volunteered as a firefighter since he was 14, giving his time to help others. I'll keep supporting him and Good Place Farms, and can't wait to return. Thank you, Good Place Farms!

Lexington is close by, with historic tours, VMI museums, and Washington and Lee University. There's plenty more to do outdoors too, from trails and hiking to Natural Bridge, James River, llama trekking, and fishing. We still have lots of activities on our list for the area. The stay at Good Place Farms was a treat. The Peerys were genuinely welcoming, and Olivia had fresh cookies waiting when we arrived. She and Justin were delightful and available whenever we needed help. Their farm-fresh breakfast was superb. I should've taken a photo, but I was eager to eat, and once I started, I didn't want to stop. It's a rustic barn turned into a comfortable B&B, with an eclectic, relaxed feel and lovely views of the Virginia mountains. There's space inside and out for families and groups of different sizes. Our daughter loved visiting the farm animals. I understand you can help collect eggs from the chickens if you get up early enough. Thanks to the Peerys for the hospitality and delicious food. More than a good place, it's a great place!

Our family had a lovely reunion at this peaceful, rustic place with gorgeous views and lots of animals to see. Justin and his wife were wonderful hosts. Their farm eggs, bacon, ham, and sausage at breakfast were so good that they've spoiled all other breakfasts for me.

There was lots of room for our big group to spread out, and the cabin views were incredible. The food was AMAZING, and justin was an absolutely phenomenal host. I'd recommend it a thousand times over!
