Hampton Inn Chicago / Tinley Park

The stay was pleasant overall, though a few parts of the hotel could use repairs. The pool is salt water, so the kids didn’t have to deal with a chlorine smell or stinging eyes. Breakfast was okay and runs until 10, but by the time we got there at 8:30 most of it was gone. The front desk person was extremely helpful and friendly.

Ro, the young woman serving breakfast, really cares about the guests. She’s kind, professional, patient, and always willing to help. Her great attitude and attention to detail make people feel welcome and valued. She goes above and beyond, and her hard work and positive energy made the experience enjoyable.

I’ve been hotel hopping for over a week, and this Hampton Inn has been fairly cozy and decent for the price. It’s conveniently located and relatively clean, although dated and showing some wear. The staff are friendly and helpful, and there’s a small commissary and a nice complimentary hot breakfast. The coffee was very strong, so I added water, but it definitely woke me up. There’s also a cute hot cocoa bar with fun holiday toppings. The pool is there, and the business center is just a desktop computer in an alcove. It’s basic, but handy for printing a boarding pass or MapQuest directions. Depending on how you book, you may get a room for under $100. In general, it’s a decent place to stay.

I’ve been here for a week. The rooms are average and dated, and the windows howl when it’s windy. The TVs have very few channels and don’t stream. Staff are very friendly and helpful, and breakfast is typical. There are no laundry machines, but staff sent us to the sister hotel next door. The gym has only a few cardio machines and no weights.
